On the edge of the Czech and Austrian border lies a gem of a small town known by two names.
Karlovy Vary, or Carlsbad if you're German, is the quaint spa town of healing waters and Wes Anderson fantasy. Tourists flock here in the thousands, some from Prague, some from all over the world, to taste the metallic hot springs that run directly under the city, and come bubbling up to the surface in artisan founts throughout town.
It's one of the many Czech curiosities I've come to discover while living in Prague. With cotton candy colored row houses, fine dining, and healing waters at every turn, the land of a thousand stories does not disappoint.
